Incidence of pectus carinatum in UK
Review of the UK society web site, www.scts.org shows about 400 major chest wall cases per year—most would be pectus and so a third PC, I imagine. This excludes the many mild cases turned away untreated! ...We do 20 or so cases per year between us. Our hospital management (and National Health institutions nationwide) would be most attracted to this low cost alternative to surgery... I have a personal interest as my own 13 year old son has mild/mod asymmetric PC.
