Questions?

Q: Will I need to have the brace adjusted or replaced over the course of treatment?
A: Yes. The brace is dynamic. The ratcheting buckles and adjustable shoulder straps allow you some degree of adjustability to accommodate for your normal growth and development, as well as, the changing shape of your bump as it corrects.
Q: How will I know if I need to have the brace adjusted?
A: If you notice that the bar is in contact with the skin, please contact Braceworks for service. For patients living outside of Alberta, please follow up with your Physician who may have to take new measurements and send your brace to us for adjustments or replacement.
Q: As the bump has receded, I've reached the end of the range of adjustability on the ratcheting buckles and the ladder is now overlapping the back section. What should I do?
A: Return the brace to Braceworks to have the back section replaced with a smaller size.
Q: The spring in one of the buckles has failed. What should I do?
A: Return the brace to Braceworks to have the buckle replaced.
Q: The pad has come loose. What should I do?
A: You may remove the screw fastening the pad to the bar, spray the screw with Loctite Threadlocker and re-install with a No. 2 Robertson screwdriver.
